It is situated on the Northern slopes of the Musala ridge in the Eastern part of the Rila. Borovets, known as Chamkoria until the mid 20th century, is the first mountain resort of its kind, in Bulgaria and on the entire Balkan range. Its origin dates back to 1896, when Kniaz Ferdinand. The reloadable lift cards (KeyCard Basic) can be purchased for BGN 5.00 in Borovets Resort only at the ticket offices of “Borosport” Jsc., located at the lift stations, in the office of “Ski School.
